Equipping the Saints for the work of the Ministry, for building up the Body of Christ. Ephesians 4:12
Kara and I (Nelson) wanted to thank you for partnering with us, for your encouragement, sacrificial giving and especially prayers that make our ministry possible. We highly appreciate it!
We always give honor and glory to our Almighty God who allows us to continue serving him, doing the ministry to which he has called us on the Island of Roatan.
Deputation time In New Brunswick
We continue on deputation (home ministry) all the way to the end of June in New Brunswick, and we are excited to visit you in your parishes and share our Honduran ministry experiences with you.
We have a full itinerary on Sundays, and most of the time we can visit you during the week.
We know it has been a long time since we last visited you as a family and personally shared with you about our ministry in Roatan. However, it is great to see you again and also to meet new brothers and sisters in the body of Christ.
We will return to Roatan on July 5th to continue doing the ministry to which God has called us, and that has been possible thanks to your prayers and the financial support that you have given us personally and as churches.
Financial Support Report and Appeal
On the financial side, we continue to be very positive and to pray and praise God with faith and thanksgiving. We also ask you to continue to pray about our finances, that for the next year and in coming years our support will stabilize and be sufficient to cover our needs.
At the moment our finances are stabilized; in fact, we NO LONGER have a negative balance, thanks to all the parishes and individuals that prayed and considered sending donations to make this possible. Praise the Lord!
Please consider helping us keep our balance stabilized; we are trusting in God that he will provide.

What is Happening in the Roatan Churches
Ministries continue in Roatan
The ministry of the Church in Roatan has not stopped; the churches are open and the Gospel continues to be preached, and leaders in each of the churches have led the services worshiping Jesus Christ every week. It has been our responsibility to equip those whom God has placed in our hands for every good work of service, as Ephesians 4:12 says. To equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up!.
Empowering God’s people, women’s fellowship
Just recently the women from both churches met for fellowship, with the purpose to empower them and to go deeper into what community means and how to continue to live in a community of believers in Jesus Christ, especially with those around their circle of friendship.
They worshiped, prayed, had some games, crafts and at the end all enjoyed a campfire and everybody made a S’more.
Thanks to Patty and Natalia (Missionaries in Roatan) who collaborated with us; and we give thanks that as the body of Christ we built the Kingdom of God.
Please continue to pray for:
1. For our family: Nelson, Kara and Kelly as we continue serving the Lord in Roatán, and Stephen who moved to Wasaga Beach Ontario from Winnipeg with his uncle and aunt on April 1st, 2023; and pray he can adapt to a new university to continue with his studies.
2. Pray for our last month of 2023 deputation (home ministry) time in New Brunswick.
3. Continued and stable financial support for the next years as we continue to serve the Lord in Roatán, Honduras.
4. Our congregations: St. Peter by the Sea in Brick Bay, and Emmanuel in Coxen Hole, that we can continue growing, worshiping, and focusing on Jesus Christ.
5. Please pray for the Rev. Robert Browning and for his ministry to English-speakers in Eastern Roatán.
6. Evangelism and practical outreach in the local communities.
7. For leadership for the Church in Roatán that embraces the challenges as we serve in the Kingdom of God.
8. The Episcopal Church in Honduras and our Bishop Lloyd Allen, who continues leading our Diocese for the next five years.
9. For Carmen, Arlin, Charon, Ingris and Alexy, as they continue at University here in Roatan.
10. Pray for Nelson, in his new ministry as Dean of the churches in the Atlantic area of the country of Honduras and Roatan in the Bay Islands.
Thank you to all who have faithfully prayed and faithfully given to support this incredible work of ministering to the people in our congregations.
“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40.
Your prayers and continued support enable us to continue touching people’s lives with Jesus’ love.

Good Day,
I hope you and your family are doing well.
In 2018 my Wife Trina and I started a knitting group in memory of our Son Benjamin (Ben). 2018 would have been the year he graduated from highschool, so we started knitting teddy Bears to give to the hospital to comfort sick children. Many family members and a few friends joined in and on the day our Boy would have graduated we were able to donate a large number of Benny’s Bears to the hospital for the first time. God has been in this from the start and we thank him and give him the glory everyday. Well it has been over 5 years since we started and Benny’s Bears along with all the kind and generous knitters that have joined us in our passion to spread the Love. Have Been continuously providing Comfort bears nearly monthly to multiple hospitals, and orphanages in Kenya, Brazil, Mexico, Saint Martin, Bahamas Dominican Republic, Cuba, Chile. Also all across Canada and the United States.
So we would like to donate some to you, I received your ministry updates by email, and see that there are lots of children that may like a Benny’s Bear of their own. Made specifically for them with Love from us here in New Brunswick Canada.
If you would like us to send you Some Knitted Benny’s Bears for the Children please contact me at this Email.
For more information you may visit our Facebook group “Benny’s Bears Comfort Bear Program”.
God Bless and Warm regards. Jim & Trina Dodding
