Roof installation completed, Update 2016
Romans 8:28 says:
And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.
We were preparing to celebrate Christmas with carols, dramas, and other activities. At the same time we were doing preliminary work as we prepared to welcome and work with the Miramichi Worldwide Team from New Brunswick, Canada. They arrived January 27th.
In this context, celebrating Jesus’ birth, waiting for the roof materials, saying goodbye to 2015 and preparing to receive the new year of 2016 with great anticipation, we had some crushing news. On January 4th we were told that the boat transporting our roof materials had not been able to leave the port of La Ceiba, and had gotten stuck in the sand, collapsing with all of the materials.
God is faithful and answered your prayers and ours, so that in less than two weeks we had reordered half the materials to start the roof project together with the Miramichi team, and then in the fourth week in February we ordered the rest of the materials.
We experienced a wonderful time with both teams in turn – the Miramichi World Wide team from New Brunswick and the New Song Church from Port Perry, Ontario. We shared together, worked together, worshiped together, and were two churches together, two nations together with one purpose, increasing the Kingdom of God on earth, and giving the glory to the Most High and Holy One.
We thank God and both teams that came down to Roatan and gave us a hand and made it possible to strengthen our relationship between their churches and our congregation here.
We would like to thank Tracey Larter from Vancouver who came to Roatan for a week to teach English and the Bible from February 7th -14th and Anne Marie Le Grand (Petit Etang, NS) who both made considerable donations to replace the roof materials. We thank all of you individuals and parishes, who enabled us to continue with our Roatan Church project.
Our roof is complete. We began on January 20th with the Miramichi Team and we finished on March 18th , a day before the team from New Song church left. One more stage is done; Praise God! Now we are ready to continue with doors and windows.
We certainly experienced a Holy Week under our roof; what a blessing.
Please continue to pray for our ministry and for God to continue to provide for us in all that He has called us to do.
May God continue to Bless you All.

Hi Kara and Nelson, It is so wonderful to see the roof completed and the chairs set up under it. Did the Port Perry Church do the cement pad for the church as planned. I look forward to seeing even more done in the future, God willing. Say hello to all my friends. You are in my prayers, Tracey
